Biography:
Erel's family had been in the military for generations, and it was fully expected that he would follow in their path as his brother did. With a legacy stretching back centuries (his ancestors had formerly been retainers for Clan Ketan), it was only right that he would, and yet, unlike his forebears, he had always wanted more. That was what led him to study Aerospace Engineering, as well as to him becoming a pilot in the Imperial Air Forces. It was this drive that pushed him to become a test pilot once the position became available to him, and it was this commitment that helped him be selected for the Ikhani National Aerospace Research Organization(INARO)'s Astronaut Corps. And in 2015, he finally achieved his goal, to fly higher than most pilots could even imagine. For that was the year he took part in the Nikai T-17 Mission.
Notes: Erel is a member of the Arashin Democratic Party
(1) "Nikranaut" is the Ikhani term for Astronaut, being derived from the Arashin Nikra (Moon, alternatively "Traveler") and Ancient Greek (irl, not sure of the irp term) naútēs, in effect translating as either "Lunar Sailor" or "Wandering Sailor".
