The Feltaki, known in their tongue as the Nuppu-Okkay, are an ethnic group and culture hailing from the Feltasi mountains in western Ikhan. Official estimates put the total population at around 50,000, with unofficial estimates putting it around 200,000, as the near-total assimilation of the Feltaki into Arashin society has resulted in many individuals being unaware of their heritage. As late as the early 20th century, the culture was more widespread in the mountains, though policies undertaken by the Ikirist and later governments led to it's gradual recession. In recent years, there has been a push to grant the Feltaki special status as a recognized minority, but no legislation has been drafted so far.
