Map of Misra at the height of the Pentarchy
Misra was one of the five states of the Arashin Pentarchy. It was, at the height of the Arashin pentarchy, comprised of 56 different territories, each under a petty king, duke, count, or prince. It was quite frequently a far more decentralized state than it's southern neighbor, Vrashe. It was founded by Israi of Clan Hailun, the first King of Misra and the ruler of the Principality of Misra (modern-day Arkhos), in 196 CE. Despite being the first among the Pentarchy, Misra would become overshadowed by it's southern neighbor for much of the period. Nonetheless, it was by no means a vassal of Vrashe, nor weaker for that matter. Instead, where Vrashe grew rich from trade, Misra became the foremost military power in Ikhan, though an isolationist one as well. It was, however, deeply interconnected with it's neighbors, which ultimately helped it when it and Vrashe merged in the opening years of the second millennium.
