Biography: Arkan IV, known as "Arkan the Preserver", was the Arashin Emperor from 1871 until his death in 1932. His reign is seen by many as one of the greatest periods in the Empire's history, even though he failed to fully recapture the lands lost during the reign of his father, Erel V (1843 - 1871). Nonetheless, his reign saw the complete reorganization of Ikhan from it's pre-modern Absolutist regime into a more democratic system headed not by the Emperor (except in name), but rather by an elected Prime Minister and National Assembly. If he were asked what his greatest failure was, it was that he did not fully restore the Empire to it's pre-war (1868) borders, lands which would only be reclaimed after the second phase of the war.
